Eileen G'Sell Awarded 2023 Rabkin Foundation Prize for Arts Journalism

Senior Lecturer Eileen G'Sell has been awarded the prestigious Dorothea and Leo Rabkin Foundation 2023 Prize for Arts Journalism.  This annual prize is awarded to 9 writers for accomplishments in visual arts writing.  She shares this year's honor with Maximilíano Durón (New York); Erin Joyce (Arizona); Jori Finkel (Los Angeles); Harmony Holiday (Los Angeles); Annette LePique (Chicago); Darla Migan (New York); Rebecca Solnit (San Francisco); Jillian Steinhauer (New York). 

Eileen's long- and short-form reviews and essays have appeared in The Hopkins Review, Hyperallergic, Reverse Shot, The Loss Angeles Review of Books, The Riverfront Times, The Detroit Metro Times, The Baffler, Current Affairs, and Jacobin.  Her second book of poetry, Francofilaments, is forthcoming from Broken Sleep Books.
