Maria Kane

Maria Kane studies American and British novels of the twentieth century, with a focus on popular fiction and bestsellers. Her research examines women's writing, the history of reading practices, and the construction of aesthetic categories. Her interests also extend to the digital humanities and the intersections between literature and film. As a writer of short fiction, Maria embraces imaginative approaches to literary scholarship and archival exploration. She earned her B.A. from the University of Rochester in 2018, with a double major in English Literature and Classical Civilization.
