REMAKE is a space for the new thought and vision of first-year students at Washington University. Our annual journal will showcase how first-year work—everything from art to research to creative writing—changes our campus by challenging our assumptions, rethinking our ideas, and giving new shape to the perspectives we hold and the stories we tell.

We know what you do as a first-year student—you learn and you sacrifice—but what do you make? While the first year may be defined by study, as first-year students, you are also thinkers, artists, writers, and contributors reshaping our community. REMAKE provides a home for your creative and intellectual output and seeks to publish the best first-year art, writing, and ideas that remake what we know, how we imagine, and who we are.
